OUR STORY

Our Bison Farm is located in the pristine, natural meadow and wood lands of Lavigne, Northern Ontario (previously a century-old French Canadian dairy farm). Prior to our taking over the farm it had been fallowing for 20 years which allowed the land to return to its natural state. Our Bison are completely grass fed on 500 acres of entirely

organic land and have NEVER received any form of antibiotics or hormones. Grass-fed Bison is a naturally leaner meat with a pure unmatched flavour profile. Each cut of our stock is traditionally butchered to provide the best quality bison to our customers.

CAN BISON BE COOKED JUST LIKE BEEF?

Bison steaks, roasts, stews, burgers and the like, all require slightly different cooking techniques than is the case for beef. Bison’s lower fat content is one reason why special cooking considerations have to be made.
For best results, stews and roasts require longer & lower heat cooking than beef. Often reheating is necessary, that way the most tender and flavorful results are realized.

ARE YOUR BISON 100% GRASS FED?

Yes! Our animals NEVER receive any form of grain in their life. 100% grassfed meat has a very desirable CLA level and Omega 3s vs Omega 6 fatty acids.

ARE YOUR BISON FED ANY ANTIBIOTICS?

No, our bison are completely grass fed and contain no antibiotics or hormones.
